New SS4.2.4.0 update !

If you own the original Sail Simulator 4.2 on your computer, you can download and install the stable SS4.2.4.0 update for free, and test out the new multiplayer session-server.
    Improvements and Bug fixes:
  • Multiplayer session - list server support
  • Update Derived Parameters error - fixed.
  • Cannot duplicate Soundbuffer error - fixed.
  • Slow running for Radeon 9500/9700 video cards solved
  • The login to a server in a local network is now working automatically.
  • Changes in hull resistance now frame rate independent.
  • DX-test improved in the setup
After running the setup the new 4.2.4.0 Sail40.exe overruns the original 4.2.2.5 Sail40.exe.

Start up SS4.2.4 and select Multiplayer Select "Start a session" or "Join an existing session", and important select "Connect to session server". Type www.sailsimulator.com as session server address. Select "anonymous login" and "Connect". If there are no sessions you can start one yourself.

You also can look at the multiplayer page if there are sessions running at www.stentec.com. If you want to upload your own session-server to your site for organzing races, send an email to helpdesk@stentec.com
